[If you were to visit the Girls' 8 cabin today, you would see a bag of random food sitting on a bench in the kitchenette, most of which looks half eaten. You would see bottles of nail polish scattered randomly around the floor. And in the middle of all that, you would see a girl curled up on a couch, apparently reading a magazine. Very slowly.]

But it's... I mean, I know it was in a bad state, but we couldn't we just, I don't know, rebuild it a little? Everyone's there, we can't just leave.

It's ruined, Cess. They'd have to rebuild from scratch and that's not possible.

But why... but Julian, that's where everyone is.

I know, Cess! I was there when we put them there.

I just don't know why we'd leave them.

I was in a coma at the time and now it's just not an option to go back there.

What happened there?

We got kicked out of all of the States.

I'm hazy on the details because ...

Once I got captured and lost a month of time in prison and once someone infected me with the Legacy virus and tried to use me to blow up the UN building. It's kind of blurred.

[listening to all that with increasing levels of horror and disbelief]

It's okay! I survived, didn't I?

It's not okay... none of that is okay. One day I wish we could have more to say about something than just "I survived".

Yeah. But we're safe now.

But for how long?

Maybe forever? The team isn't here yet, are they?
